Noah Schnapp‘s unsuccessful run as a third-wheel continues outside of his portrayal of Will Byers in ‘Stranger Things‘ into real life, this time striking a nerve with singer Doja Cat.

On Thursday night, in a now-deleted Instagram Live, the “Woman” singer, 26, expressed her displeasure with the Stranger Things star exposing their DMs, and pleaded for assistance in connecting with Joseph Quinn.

“To be fair this is like a kid, I don’t know how old he is but he’s not even over like 21,” Doja said of the 17-year-old actor on Instagram Live as quoted by Newsweek, and that she was trying to be “super fair” in the matter.

“When you’re that young you make mistakes, you do dumb s—, you say dumb s—, you f— up relationships with people, you make mistakes like you’re supposed to so you know not to do it in the future,” she explained. “I did my share of f— ups so I don’t f— up again.”

“But the fact that Noah did that is so unbelievably socially unaware and wack,” the Grammy winner added. “That’s like borderline snake s—… that’s like weasel s—.”

“I’m not saying that encapsulates his entire personality. Noah is not like the definition, like I wouldn’t imagine he is,” she further stated in her rant, adding, “Maybe he is?”

Doja’s outburst occurred one day after Schnapp shared a TikTok of their private discussion in which the “Kiss Me More” singer urged the actor to help set her up with Quinn, 29, who plays newbie Eddie Munson in Stranger Things season 4.

“Noah can u tell Joseph to [hit me up]. wait no. does he have a gf?” Doja enquired of Schnapp through his Instagram DM.

Schnapp, who plays Will Byers on the hit show, responded by urging Doja to find Quinn’s direct messages on Twitter or Instagram, which she couldn’t.

“idk his ig ior [sic] twitter. He doesn’t have a DM to slide in,” she followed up.

Schnapp, acting as a diligent wingman, answered by giving her a link to his Instagram page, adding, “right here ma’am.”

The “Vegas” singer declared her love for the British artist in May, tweeting, “joseph quinn fine as s—-.”

Schnapp’s now-defunct TikTok had received over 4.2 million likes and 20.9 million views as of Thursday, with many fans humorously calling out the actor for exposing Doja’s request and agreeing with her need for Quinn.

“Do we blame her? NOOOPE,” one user commented, and another added, “OMG NOAH HAS NO MERCY.”

Quinn does have an Instagram account, which Doja now follows, but it appears to be new, with his first post on May 9 and practically all of his stuff being Stranger Things-related.

Thanks to his depiction of Eddie, a heavy metal high schooler and Hellfire Club leader forced to flee after his unintended role in a classmate’s strange death, the actor has rapidly emerged as the season’s breakout star.

Quinn jams out to Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” in spectacular manner in one of his most memorable sequences, a needle drop that has pushed the 1986 song up the charts.

Quinn previously appeared in the BBC One series Dickensian and in a Game of Thrones episode in 2017.
