In a recent joint statement, Keanu Reeves and John Wick director Chad Stahelski paid respect to the actor. “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick. He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with,” they said. “Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family, and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly.”
Stephanie Reddick, Lance Reddick’s wife, also broke her silence for the first time since her loving husband’s ‘unexpected’ passing and thanked the public for their ‘overwhelming support’ in an Instagram post.
“Lance was taken from us far too soon,” Stephanie Reddick wrote on her late husband’s Instagram account. “Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support, and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day. I see your messages and can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have them. And to the thousands of Destiny players who played in a special tribute to Lance, thank you,” she added, referencing Lance Reddick’s voice role. “Lance loved you as much as he loved the game.”
Also, Stephanie Reddick requested donations from her late husband’s supporters for MOMCares, a Baltimore, Maryland, organization that supports high-risk and NICU mothers.
The organization “serves under-supported mothers with NICU experiences in Baltimore City by providing prenatal and postpartum doula care including transportation, advocacy, self-care opportunities, and nutritious meals to mothers and their families,” according to its website.
