Takeoff, the third member of Migos, besides Quavo and Offset, has died aged 28.

Around 2.30 a.m. on November 1, 2022, the Georgia-based rapper, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston where he and Quavo were playing dice; Takeoff was pronounced dead at the spot. 

According to a TMZ report, the violence erupted following an altercation over a game of dice. As per one eyewitness, Takeoff was shot “either in the head or near his head.”

Takeoff was 28 years old at the time of death. 

Takeoff was 5 feet 9 inches, as per famous birthdays.

Born Kirshnik Khari Ball, the rapper was best known for being a member of the hip-hop band Migos with his uncle Quavo and first cousin Offset. He was raised by his mother in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Takeoff began rapping in 2008 with his fellow family members Quavo and Offset. They first performed as Polo Club before changing their name to Migos.

They released their debut full-length effort, Jug Season, on August 25, 2011, followed by No Label. Versace, a track published in 2013, was remixed by Canadian rapper Drake.

In May 2017, it was reported that Takeoff was dating a former collaborator, Katy Perry. The artists collaborated on Katy Perry’s 2017 hit Bon Appetit, which they performed live on Saturday Night Live. The rumours started after Takeoff and Perry were said to have attended the SNL season finale after-party that night, but they were later proven wrong.

Takeoff was alleged to be dating New York City-based rapper and Bad Girls Club graduate Dreamdoll from July through September of that year.

According to numerous rumours, the rapper had previously been romantically linked to singer Rubi Rose, and Lakeya Darshay.

Takeoff has as estimated net worth of $26 million dollars. Takeoff and his uncle Quavo bought ‘Mama Huncho’, a new home for Christmas in 2017.
