Taylor Swift surprised her fans on the Eras Tour by releasing a new music video. The singer, however, shocked the crowded venue at her Kansas City performance even more when she asked her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner to take the stage.

Recently, Swift and her ex Lautner worked together on the new song, ‘I Can See You’, which also includes actors Joey King and Presley Cash. Swift brought the Twilight actor and King on stage as she debuted the album’s song video shortly after she started her performance at Geha Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Swift has previously collaborated with Joey and Presley. Both of them starred in Swift’s “Mean” video from 2011. However, Lautner and Swift have never worked together on a music video before.

During the performance, Lautner, who served as the inspiration for Swift’s song Back to December from the Speak Now album, displayed his acrobatic prowess by performing cartwheels and backflips on stage. The actor offered his ex a heartfelt embrace while they were performing. He also shared some kind words for Swift, “Taylor, I respect you so much. Not just for the singer you are, the songwriter, the performer, but for the human you are. You are gracious, humble, kind and I am honored to know you.”

Swift tweeted that she was “so proud” of the music video shortly after the video’s debut. She said: “WELL. SO. I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out. I wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music.”

The internet went into a frenzy with Swift and Lautner fans celebrating the reunion, with one user saying, “taylorswift bringing out taylorlautner at her show was the cutest thing ever THATS MY MAN… he’s always been the sweetest,” while another Twitterati commented, “I go to bed and wake up and taylor lautner and taylor lautner are at taylor swifts concert and taylor lautner starred in taylor swifts music video and taylor lautner did a backflip on stage at taylor swifts concert while taylor lautner was in the audience.”
