Taylor Swift has created history at the American Music Awards yet again this year by becoming the first artist to score 40 wins in its history.

She won all six awards that she was nominated for this year, including Favorite Pop Album, Favorite Female Pop Artist, Favorite Music Video, Favorite Female Country Artist, Favorite Country Album, and Artist of the Year.

The bejeweled singer broke her own record that she had made in 2019 when she surpassed King of Pop Michael Jackson‘s historic 26-win record at the AMAs to become the award show’s most-decorated music artist ever.

In the next few years, she distanced herself from her contemporary competitors even further by adding more prism-shaped trophies to her collection.

She entered this year’s award ceremony tied with Beyonce for most-nominated female acts. Her triumphs brought her to 40 victories, enabling her to renew her own record.

She won three awards for her re-recorded Red, including the 10-minute short film music video of All Too Well, which starred Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien.

While accepting the favourite pop album award, Swift said that she “never expected or assumed” that her re-recorded albums would mean anything to fans. She thanked those who helped her spend “hours and hours in the studio, meticulously re-creating” Red. She also showed her gratitude to her “All Too Well” video actors and “I Bet You Think About Me” director Blake Lively and co-star Miles Teller.

She also thanked her fans a second time when she returned to the stage to accept the award for the best music video for All Too Well. Swift indicated it was all the support that allowed her to release the 10-minute version and make her short film starring Sink and O’Brien.

Although she was nominated for a number of awards, the Bejeweled singer never hinted that she would be attending the show on November 20, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. To her surprise appearance while accepting the Favourite Pop Album for Red (Taylor’s Version) was quite a treat for her fans.
