The song Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga and Bloodpop, which is from Top Gun: Maverick, has already generated awards hype. Though there was no promotional effort for the song, Gaga did give a live performance of it during her Chromatica Ball tour last summer. Both the Critics’ Choice Awards and the Golden Globes nominated the song.
From Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Rihanna’s song Lift Me Up was co-written with composer Ludwig Goransson and filmmaker Ryan Coogler. In honour of actor Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed King T’Challa in the first Black Panther, it was produced as a tribute. At the age of 43, Boseman passed away from colon cancer in 2020. On February 12, Rihanna will perform as the half-time show’s lead performer.
After the film’s popularity skyrocketed and the song went viral, RRR’s Naatu Naatu has emerged as an Oscar frontrunner. The song appears in the film as a musical number, which tends to resonate with voters. The Oscars will be held on March 12, 2023.
