Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and musician Grimes have chosen a very unconventional name for their newly born, leaving the world in tizzy.  The duo has chosen ‘X Æ A-Xii’ as their baby’s name.

The couple had earlier chosen ‘X Æ A-12’, which they changed to ‘X Æ A-Xii’, stating ‘“Roman numerals looks better” as a reason. In the comments of one of her Instagram posts, Grimes was asked whether she had been forced to change her baby’s name due to California law.

The announcement has kept the fans of the tech-giant floating in the riddle, as they are trying to guess how to pronounce the name. While one said it stands for “X Ash Archangel,” which Musk liked on Twittter, other thought X relates to the Bible book Genesis.

Musk and Claire Boucher (Grimes), made their relationship public in May 2018, which is exactly two years before the birth of their first born.

Soon after social media was flooded with questions pertaining to the pronounciation of couple’s new born’s name, Grimes in a recent interview with Bloomberg about her upcoming online art exhibition, revealed she calls her newborn “Little X.”

Grimes, 32, had also shared that the name is pronounced “Ex – Eye.”

However, it was later revealed that the name is illegal in California as names are not allowed to have special characters according to Los Angeles laws.
