FX’s popular show, The Bear, is returning for its second season, with new information recently released about the show. The Bafta Television Awards-nominated series follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (played by Jeremy Allen White), a world-class chef who returns home to Chicago to restore his family’s rundown restaurant after the death of his older brother Mikey (played by Jon Bernthal).

Release Date

The second season of The Bear will premiere on Hulu in the US on June 22, 2023, while international fans will be able to watch the show on Disney+ from July 19, 2023. All ten episodes will be available when the show premieres.

Plot

The first season focused on Carmy’s efforts to revive the family’s restaurant, while the second season will see him, along with fellow chefs Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), working together to transform the sandwich joint into a trendy eatery. The team will face several challenges, including obtaining permits and creating the perfect menu, while also dealing with their past to achieve a brighter future.

Cast

Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will return for the second season, as will Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, and Liza Colón-Zayas. Matty Matheson, Edwin Lee Gibson, and Oliver Platt will also reprise their roles. Molly Gordon will join the cast in a recurring role, and Bob Odenkirk will have a guest role.
