The third episode of ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ is a key episode into the progression of the story, marking a turning point in the show. The episode carefully balances between flashbacks and Boba Fett presently becoming Mos Espa’s ‘daimyo’. A street gang also comes into play in this episode, striking an unexpected alliance with Boba Fett, who is now a well-established ruling crime lord.

The street gang reigns in the Worker’ District of Mos Espa, a city on planet Tatooine. Members of the rowdy gang include Drash and Skad, who are seen riding fast bikes. The bikers have also transformed their bodies with robotic components.

The gang resorts to stealing from the water-monger Lortha Peel, after the group’s failed attempts to find work and earn enough to pay for soaring water prices.

Lortha then takes the matter to Boba and goes on and on to complain about the gang members. Describing them as “half-man, half-machine’, Peel seeks Boba’s help to bring an end to the stealing.

Boba then assures her to look into the matter and visits Mos Espa. He then confronts the gang, but after analysing their circumstances, he offers the gang to work for him. Boba, who needs to assimilate himself back into the culture and prove his efficient leadership to the city, hires the gang to act as his watchdogs.

Boba adds that the gang could pay off their debt, although he only offers Peel with a fraction of the credit owed, due to her greed. This instance shows what Boba swears by, i.e. “to rule with respect”, not putting up with overpricing.

The six gang members display a street-punk style, thanks to their colourful Vespas and cyborg implants.
