As Star Wars fans gear up with their lightsabers
and popcorn buckets for The Book of Boba Fett, many wonder what to expect from
this Disney+ Hotstar release.

Being a spin-off of ‘The Mandalorian’, the show
will take off from all the events that transpired in the 2019 series.

 The
teasers and other promotional material of The Book of Boba Fett have not
revealed much, keeping the plotline pretty vague. The only key takeaway is that
Boba now wants to rule the criminal underworld as a strong and fair leader. While
Jabba the Hutt’s reign was a feared one, Boba plans to rule and lead with
respect instead.

Currently, only one key character other than Boba
Fett has been revealed. Fennec Shand, a top-class assassin who owes her life to
Boba is seen as an ally of Boba in the newly premiered show. Many speculate
that older characters may make an appearance on the show, given the history of Star
Wars of bringing back iconic characters from the dead.

With five trailers already released, viewers have
begun wondering what to expect. While some think the original Mandalorian aka
Din Djarin will make an appearance, others simply wonder how exactly did Boba even
survive his fall into the Sarlacc pit, where he was engulfed and apparently
killed off as a character in the 1983 ‘Return of the Jedi’.

 The Mandalorian
and The Book of Boba Fett have nearly the same creative team, composer, and executive
producer, Jon Favreau. Therefore, one can presume the sci-fi show to impress
viewers yet again with its stellar graphics.

The end credits of The Mandalorian, left many
viewers speculate the release of Boba Fett’s own spin-off show. The show is
said to do a deep dive into the life of Boba Fett, who was only a supporting character
up till now. Although Boba Fett survived the Sarlacc pit through his solid
armour in the ‘Expanded Universe’, a series of books, comics and video games, it
is not sure that the Book of Boba Fett would carry that storyline forward. Some
postulate that the new spin-off could borrow a few plotlines, while others
think that Boba Fett will get a brand-new story.

The first episode of The Book of Boba Fett
premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on December 29, 2021. The finale is set to air on February
9, 2022.
