The finale of ‘The Gray Man’ is very dramatic, and there are several unresolved narrative strands that appear to be building up a sequel. The Russos clearly intended for the action thriller to be a franchise starter, and there is plenty more to be explored. The film’s ending sets up the mystery of who might be the old man, who’s responsible for Carmichael and Suzanne’s stints at the agency.
