Actress Sumona Chakravarti was speculated to leave The Kapil Sharma Show, but her recent story on Instagram confirmed that she will be part of the new season of the show. Rumours of Sumona leaving Sony Entertainment’s comedy show made rounds when she was missing from the promos of the new season.

Sumona shared a photo from the set of The Kapil Sharma Show on her Instagram story to announce that she is ‘Back to work’.

Sumona Chakravarti will be a part of The Kapil Sharma Show

Actress Archana Puran Singh who will also be part of the show confirmed Sumona’s presence in the new season of the show.

In an interview with Aaj Tak Archana Puran Singh said, “If you think that Sumona is not in the show, then you are going to get a surprise soon. There is Sumona in the show but her avatar will be very different, but we will have the same lovely Sumona.”

Sumona who essayed the role of Bhoori on the show posted a cryptic message on social media right after the first teaser of the new season came out.

She shared a quote from the book Everything You’ll Ever Need by Charlotte Freeman. The quote talked about having the courage to do your best in a new relationship, job, city, experience. It also said that if it doesn’t work out then it’s not meant for you. 

This post made fans of the actress speculate that she would not be part of the new season of the show.

The Kapil Sharma Show went off-air in February 2021. The show is set to return in a brand new avatar on August 21. It will incorporate online engagement with the audience.

The show will feature Bharti Singh, Kiku Sharda, Sudesh Lahri, Chandan Prabhakar and Krushna Abhishek alongside Kapil Sharma, Archana and Sumona.
