A special look of spy movie ‘The King’s Man’ was revealed by the 20th Century Studios on Thursday. The third installment of the Kingsman franchise offers a prequel to the first two. The movie is officially set to release in December. English director Matthew Vaughn has co-written the screenplay with Karl Gajdusek.

It seems franchise director Matthew Vaughn has delivered on the promise he made two years ago. The movie’s famous quote,’ Manners maketh man’ might have an origin.

“We will in some ways. We’ll discover why manners maketh man. We’ll discover why one of my favorite lines in the new film is ‘reputation is what people think you are, the character is who you are.’ It’s got a lot of what I’ll call home truths for our modern society that would be good to remember. It’s an allegory of…World War I happened due to some crazy politicians and political movements that got out of control. Everybody thought there couldn’t be a war, and then it happened. We’re living in a crazy time right now,” Vaughn told ComicBook.com in 2019.

“This is the foundation of the Kingsman franchise,” Vaughn says in the trailer.

“We see in this film the formation of the Kingsman. The style is very Matthew Vaughn,” star Gemma Arterton adds.

The movie also stars Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Bruhl, Djimon Hounsou, Charles Dances, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Stanley Tucci. However, Colin Firth aka Harry Hart and Taron Egerton aka Eggsy will not be seen in this installment.

Talking about his absence in ‘The King’s Man’, director Vaughn told Yahoo Movies, “I don’t know how hot off the press this is, and I think I’m allowed to say it, but I’m not in the next Kingsman movie. That doesn’t mean I won’t be in Kingsman ever again. I was with Matthew as little as a few days ago, we’re still very much in business together, but his next journey in that world doesn’t involve me.”
