Cloris Leachman, the actress famous for her roles in “Young Frankenstein”, “The Last Picture Show” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” died at the age of 94 on Wednesday, reported Associated Press. 

The actress, who won an Oscar for her performance in “The Last Picture Show”, passed away in her sleep due to natural causes with her daughter at her side, said publicist Monique Moss. 

The highly celebrated actress was known for her capabilities of doing justice to a variety of characters like a crime spree family member on “Crazy Mama”, mother of Timmy on the “Lassie” franchise and Blucher in “Young Frankenstein”. 

Leachman also had a role on the iconic show “Malcolm in the Middle” which also featured the Breaking Bad fame, Bryan Cranston. She played the occasional role of Ida and secured Emmy awards for her performance in the show in 2002 and 2006, reported Associated Press. 

The actress started her career in the show business while being Miss Chicago in the Miss America beauty pageant.
