Released in 1995, ‘Pride and Prejudice’ is an ethereal rendition of Jane Austen’s novel of the same name. The story revolves around England’s Bennet family, who are looking for perfect men to marry off their four daughters. 

Protagonist Elizabeth meets Darcy in this quest and thus begin the magical love-hate encounters between the two that gives rise to an iconic love story.

Little Things– the romance next door

Dhruv and Kavya have become a household name thanks to ‘Little Things’. If you haven’t watched the series as yet, this Valentine’s day is ‘the perfect’ time to give it a shot and we promise you won’t regret it.

Created by Dice Media, ‘Little Things’ is a story of you and me and every couple next door.

It unfolds the struggles between a cohabiting couple in their 20s who are juggling between the everyday ups and downs of work, family and life in general in the dream land of Mumbai and constantly trying to fit love in the middle.

Released in 2016, the three seasons of this contemporary Indian love story can be watched on Netflix.

Lovesick–a healthy Rom-com

‘Lovesick’ is a healthy romantic comedy series of a not so healthy  Dylan, who in a quest of true love ends up getting Chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease (STD), and here begins his awkward yet funny encounters with his exes.

As it becomes necessary for Dylan to inform all her sex partners about the diagnosis, every episode brings flashbacks of Dylan’s romance with his previous girlfriends and we also become familiar with Dylan’s most cherished relationships.

This British sit-com series is available on Netflix and a series to binge on valentine’s day.

How I Met Your Mother– a searchful romance

As the name suggest, HIMYM is the story of a hopeless romantic Ted Mosby, who recounts the the journey he and his four best friends (Lily, Marshall, Barney and Robin) took leading up to him meeting their mother.

The story revolves around Ted and his group in the setting of New York’s Mclaren’s pub and show us different human emotions through the journey of all four individuals but mostly about Ted’s journey to meet the mother of his children.

In the travels Ted dates several other women unfolding different shades of Romance.

The show starts Josh Radnor as Ted Mosby with Jason Segel, Cobie  Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan.

Gavin & Stacey- the long distance romance 

There are fair chances that you won’t be with your special someone on the V day and with COVID-19 quarantine in place the possibility is all the more high. This is the relatable story to binge on if you’re going through the bitter-sweet long-distance phase of your love life.

Gavin and Stacey is a story of a British couple who have been continuing their romance online and by telephone for past last six months and then follows key moments in their relationship like the first meeting, meeting each other’s families, getting engaged, marrying, looking for an apartment , briefly splitting up, looking for new jobs and trying for children.
