The Vadodara City Police, on Sunday night, has arrested a
man named Shubham Mishra for sending rape and death threats to comedian Agrima
Joshua and her mother through a video that went viral on social media. The move
has been lauded by Bollywood star Pooja Bhatt, who said that it’s okay to disagree but nobody has the right to make threats for someone’s right to opinion.

In a series of tweets, the actress also said that “criticism is one thing and abuse is another.”

In a tweet on Sunday night, the police said
that the accused, Shubham Mishra has been detained.

It all started when one of the comedy acts from Agrima Joshua on a statue of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Quora started making
rounds on social media.  In the video, she was seen making  a joke about the upcoming statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and this didn’t go down well with some people.

While
many users trolled Joshua for her “insensitive remarks”, Mishra went a step ahead and
hurled abuses  against the comedian and
her mother. After the threat, Joshua deleted her video and apologised too.
