Gorr is an extraterrestrial with no outstanding powers other than a well-honed knack for torture and questioning. Gorr may even wield the sword to create razor-sharp constructions or live minions, which he refers to as Black Berserkers.

The fourth Thor film, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ depicts Gorr, The God Butcher’s intention to visit Eternity and kill all Gods with an all-black Necrosword. The All-Black Necrosword is an important aspect of him in the comics. It means as much to him as Mjolnir does to Thor.

Gorr, the God Butcher, made his debut in Thor comics in 2013. Gorr was shown leading a one-man army to murder the gods since he believed they had betrayed him.

Gorr was born on an unknown planet with earthquakes and scarce water. Everyone who lived there was distressed. Because he was continuously urged to laud the gods, Gorr questioned their beliefs. Gorr lost confidence in the gods and was banished after an earthquake killed his wife and his children began to starve. Gorr concluded that all gods are undeserving of the love and devotion they get from their devotees when his pleas for redemption remained unanswered. To demonstrate this, he has spent his whole life meticulously purging the cosmos of all gods. Thor is one of the few gods who has fought the God Butcher and lived to tell the story.
