‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘ might have divided critics and audiences but one of the film’s unsolved mysteries is what Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster tells Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in the final moments of the film. Speaking to CienemaBlend, the 41-year-old actor said, “That scene was really, really fun to shoot. And yes, there is a specific line, but I will never reveal it.”
Foster starts wielding Mjolnir and becomes the Mighty Thor but for all her heroics, she cannot come up with a superhero catchphrase. She tries “Eat my hammer” when battling Gorr the God Butcher in the Shadow Realm but it is only when she and Thor follow him to Eternity that Portman’s character shares the perfect catchphrase with the God of Thunder.

The character battles Stage 4 cancer in the movie and Mjolnir calls to her, reassembles itself, and gives the doctor a new lease on life. However, this comes at a cost, since using the hammer saps Foster of her mortal energy which leaves her body unable to fight the cancer. Though Thor tells her to rest, she senses when the Asgardian is in danger and flies off with Mjolnir for one last mission, to save the kidnapped Asgardian children and the man she loves. Foster knows that this superhero stint will kill her, and it does.

During her dying moments, she whispers the perfect catchphrase in Thor’s ears. In the end, we see the God of Thunder is back to using Mjolnir while Love, Gorr’s daughter, who Thor takes under his wing, is comfortable fighting with Stormbreaker.
Korg narrates that the two now fight the good battle for those who can’t fight well as we see the Asgardian try to live up to Foster’s advice of letting people into his heart instead of keeping everyone at a distance.
