Thor: Love and Thunder‘ has hit the theatres leaving critics and audiences divided, but Chris Pratt who plays Star-Lord or Peter Quinn in the film, has no doubts. The 43-year-old actor praised co-star Chris Hemsworth, who portrays the God of Thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies.

Pratt, who first appeared in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ said “Nobody on Earth is more right for @thorofficial than this man @chrishemsworth. What a stud. What a star. What a movie! Forever grateful.”

Sharing a picture of the two together, Pratt also thanked director Taika Waititi for including them, and added “Thanks to everyone in Australia who took such good care of us.”

‘Love and Thunder’ picks up after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ where Thor teamed up with the rest of the earth’s heroes to defeat Thanos and keep the Infinity Stones out of his reach.

The Asgardian has been with the Guardians of the Galaxy since the events of ‘Infinity War’ when the Titan attacked the ship full of Asgardian refugees soon after they escaped the now-destroyed planet. Groot even cut off an arm which is now the handle of Thor’s battle-axe Stormbreaker.

In ‘Love and Thunder’, we see Thor getting back in shape and deciding that he’d fight battles only if someone needed his help, choosing to meditate at other times. Soon after, Quinn comes to him for help and the Asgardian is back in action. However, they discover that there have been too many distress calls and one is from Sif, Thor’s old battle companion.

While Odinson goes off to rescue the fellow Asgardian, the Guardians of the Galaxy take the decision to split up and answer the other distress calls.

Quinn and Thor even share a moment before they bid goodbye when Star-Lord advises him that it is better to feel bad after losing love than to keep everyone at arm’s length and not feel anything at all. Thor’s bromance with Star-Lord makes for a light moment when Quinn advises the God of Thunder to look into the eyes of his loved one, and while Pratt’s character looks at his team, Thor tries to lock eyes with him.

Later in the movie, Thor repeats Quinn’s advice to Jane Foster, while trying to get back with his ex, who’s now the Mighty Thor herself.
