TIME Magazine has announced the well-known K-pop group BLACKPINK as the 2022 Entertainer of the Year. K-pop group BLACKPINK, is recently making headlines because of their new songs and studio album Born Pink. BLACKPINK’s triumph is more noteworthy because no other girl group has ever achieved this honor before.
They are also the second K-pop group in history, following BTS, who took the top spot in 2018.

Other than featuring several amazing photos of the Korean girl group, the Time magazine also published Jennie Kim, Lalisa Manobal, Jisoo and Rose’s personal thoughts and reflections.
The Time magazine also stated, “BLACKPINK is this generation’s icon that leads the trend, and is the largest female band in the world”. The magazine also praised BLACKPINK for having a stellar year on the international music charts and for their second full-length album, which has set numerous records.
Speaking to the magazine about all of their accomplishments this year, BLACKPINK said, “We’re the happiest when we do music. Good results followed because we’re always happily enjoying every moment.”
The four singer also thanked their fan group BLINK and added, “I think the power of our fans who always love and support us constantly is the biggest reason behind our achievements. We will do our best in every moment with gratitude in our hearts.”

BLACKPINK will be currently on a world tour titled ‘Born Pink’. They will be performing across Europe and Asia from December to early January next year.
BLACKPINK was also chosen as one of the best artists for TIME 100 NEXT in 2019 and as a contender for TIME’s Person of the Year in 2020, demonstrating their consistent influence and rising stature in the field.
