In a recently released behind-the-scenes footage for his upcoming film Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Tom Cruise is seen attempting one of the most dangerous stunts of his career, and probably of cinema history.

Following the success of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, which was released in 2018, Cruise will be returning as superspy Ethan Hunt for the 2023 installment of the film, with Christopher McQuarrie once again serving as the director.

The 9-minute-long video shows Cruise preparing for a jump off a cliff in Norway. “This is far and away the most dangerous we’ve ever attempted. We’ve been working on this for years,” Cruise is heard saying, adding “It all comes down to one thing, the audience.”
