Toni Collette and her husband Dave Galafassi have announced on Instagram that they are separating based on a mutual decision and that their priority now is raising their children properly.
The message, which was posted from Collette’s account, came hours after Galafassi was spotted kissing a woman called Shannon Egan on an Australian beach.
Collette was born on November 1, 1972. She is 50 years old. Collette was raised in Glebe, a suburb of Sydney. She has two younger siblings.

According to Celebrity Net worth, Collette has a net worth of $18 million.
Although not much is known about Collette’s dating life from her early history, she dated co-star Jonathan Rhys Meyers in 1997. Their relationship lasted for a year. When talking about the same, Collette said that it was “hedonistic, drunken and probably dangerous”.
Collette met Galafassi in 2002 at an album launch party of the latter’s former band, Gelbison. The couple tied the knot in 2003.
The Knives Out star is the mother to two children, daughter Sage Florence, 14, and son, Arlo Robert, 11.
In the post where the recently separated announced their decision, they said, “Our kids are of paramount importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit a different shape.”

Collette has an extensive body of film performances to her credit. She has been a part of critically acclaimed films like Little Miss Sunshine, Hitchcock, and Knives Out.
Her work in the TV series United States of Tara earned Collette a Primetime Emmy as well as a Golden Globe Award. The Sydney native’s performance in the film Mental was critically acclaimed despite the film receiving lacklustre reviews.

Besides acting, Collette is also a singer-songwriter and has written and sung the songs of her former band, Toni Collette & the Finish.
