Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker was admitted to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon.

Paparazzi photographed the 46-year-old lying on a stretcher and being taken to an ambulance. Barker was accompanied by his wife Kourtney Kardashian.

At the time of writing this, there was no information on what kind of medical emergency befell Barker, it is understood to be serious.

According to TMZ, Barker and his wife arrived at the at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center on Tuesday morning for some kind of health issue the drummer was experiencing.

However, medical staff at the West Hills Hospital felt that Barker needed additional care, and ordered and the musician was subsequently rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Amid all this, at 10.45am local time, Barker tweeted “God save me.” Although the tweet is the name of his song with Machine Gun Kelly, the timing made many wonder whether it was related to his illness.

Hours after Barker was hospitalised, the musician’s 16-year-old daughter, Alabama Barker, posted an Instagram story urging fans to pray for her father’s quick recovery.

“Please send your prayers,” the 16-year-old wrote. She, however, did not divulge any details about Barker’s health issue.

The drummer’s hospitalisation marks yet another hiccup in what has been a turbulent few weeks for the couple. The two began officially dating in January 2021, and got married, or rather completed a string of marriages, in Portofino, Italy on May 22, 2022, having earlier had ceremonies in Las Vegas, Nevada and Santa Barbara, California.

Barker has been named among the the 100 greatest drummers of all time by Rolling Stones, and is popularly referred to as “punk’s first superstar drummer.”
