Nevada’s Day N Vegas Festival, which was set to witness the return of rapper Travis Scott months after last year’s Astroworld tragedy, was cancelled due to “a combination of logistics, timing and production issues,” according to organizers.

The music festival, which was scheduled to take place during the Labor Day weekend of September 2-4, had a star-studded lineup that consisted of artists like J Cole, SZA, Summer Walker, Pusha T, and 21 Savage.

“We’re sorry to announce that a combination of logistics, timing and production issues have forced us to cancel Day N Vegas for 2022,” a statement read on the festival’s official website and social media handles.

The organizers also addressed refund-related queries and stated that the process “will begin immediately,” with funds appearing back into the accounts of ticket holders “within the next 2-4 weeks.”

If you purchased a festival pass(es) via AXS and have questions about the refund process, please contact AXS via support.axs.com. The Day N Vegas Festival was Travis Scott’s first concert since his Houston Astroworld concert last year, which turned into a deadly crowd surge and killed 10 people.

A court filing from May alleges that over 4,900 were injured at the show, including 732 people who were “severely” wounded and needed serious medical treatment.

Scott has been maintaining a low profile ever since the incident happened. In the intervening months, he has performed at selective private events, including a pre-Oscars party in Bel-Air in March, and a guest appearance at a Coachella afterparty in April.

Making his comeback after several months, the 31-year-old is set to perform in the UK at London’s O2 Arena on August 6.
