From comedy flicks to complicated modern-day relationship drama, February has a lot in store for the movie buff in you. Here are 5 films and shows to binge on this month. 

1. ‘Badhaai Do’

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, this comedy drama is set to hit theatres on February 11. A sequel to the 2018 film ‘Badhaai Ho’, the movie revolves around a married duo with hidden sexual identities. While Rao plays a police official named Shardul in the film, Pednekar essays the role of Sumi, a physical education teacher. 

2. ‘Gehraiyaan’

This Deepika Padukone starrer is a modern take on relationships. From conflicts to betrayal, the film highlights the dynamics between two couples. The film also stars Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Rajat Kapoor and Naseerudin Shah. ‘Gehraiyaan’ premieres on February 11 on Amazon Prime Video. The romance drama is directed by ‘Ek Main aur Ekk Tu’ filmmaker Shakun Batra.

3. ‘The Fame Game’

Previously titled as ‘Finding Anamika’, the show is actor Madhuri Dixit Nene’s debut into the television series industry. The show follows Anamika Anand, a renowned actress who goes missing. Caught between stardom and familial struggles, the show is a glimpse into the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry. ‘The Fame Game’ will be released on February 25 on Netflix.   

4. ‘Looop Lapeta’

Releasing on February 4, this Taapsee Pannu starrer is a Hindi adaptation of the critically acclaimed German film, ‘Run Lola Run’. The plot revolves around a woman on a mission to save her partner from goons, only to realize that she is caught in an endless time loop. ‘Loop Lapeta’ will premiere on the OTT platform Netflix. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin. 

5. ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’

Starring Alia Bhatt in a lead role, this crime drama biopic is a peek into the life of Gangubai, a young girl who was pushed into prostitution but later revered as a matriarch icon and mafia figure. Releasing on February 25, the film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also stars Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, and Shantanu Maheshwari.
