The couple
has decided to name their twins Uyir and Ulagam

Uyir name
meaning:

The word Uyir
in Tamil translates to life. The same word is also often used to mean soul. In
Tamil literature, however, the word is used to mean the living force that
sustains all life. There is no currently known adequate translation of the word
in English.

Ulagam name
meaning:

Ulagam, too
is a Tamil word. It means the world, the earth or the globe.

Thus, Nayanthara
and Shivan’s twins are named life and the world.

The couple
dated for almost 6 years before becoming husband and wife. News of their
engagement first emerged when Nayanthara confessed during a TV promo that she
was wearing an engagement ring. Pictures of Nayathara’s ring swept the
internet.

Vignesh
Shivan, in an interview in 2020, said that he and Nayanthara would get married
once they were bored of being in love. He added that they were also saving up
for their wedding. The duo got married two years later and had twins the same
year.
