Vicky Donor actor and theater personality Bhupesh Kumar
Pandya died on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with lung cancer. The National
School of Drama’s official Twitter handle shared the news of Pandya’s death and
paid a tribute to him.

“The news of the accidental demise of noted colorist Bhupesh
Kumar Pandya (alumnus NSD 2001 batch) is extremely sad. The NSD family pays a
heartfelt tribute. God bless the departed soul,” NSD tweeted in Hindi.

Manoj Bajpayee, Mukesh Chhabra, Gajraj Rao among others took
to Twitter and paid tribute to the actor, who is survived by wife Chhaya Pandya
and two kids.

Pandya is best known for his role in Ayushmann Khurrana’s
debut film ‘Vicky Donor’.

According to media reports, earlier, several actors came
together and raised funds for Pandya to help him fight lung cancer.

Apart from Vicky Donor, Pandya has worked in ‘Hazaron
Khwahishein Aisi’, web series ‘Delhi Crime’, ‘Gandhi to Hitler’, ‘Parmanu: The
Story of Pokhran’ among various other projects.

Talking about her husband’s diagnosis, Times of India had quoted
Bhupesh’s wife Chhaya Pandya as saying, “Unfortunately, this is true, and my
husband is suffering from stage IV cancer. He has undergone supportive care,
palliative chemotherapy and palliative RT at Apollo Hospital of Ahmedabad.”
