Comedian Pete Davidson ended his stint with ‘Saturday Night Live‘ after eight long years and received the commemorative farewell from rapper Eminem. The Grammy Award winner had a cameo on Davidson’s rap parody of Eminem and Dr Dre’s 1999 hit “Forgot About Dre”.

The musical sketch was a tribute to the show’s producer Lorne Michaels, and for the finale of Season 47, Davidson turned the iconic hip hop track to “Forgot About Lorne”.

Davidson, in the skit, raps about the producer’s accomplishments, including promoting comedians like John Belushi, David Spade, Tina Fey and Will Ferrell.

At the start of the sketch, host Natasha Lyonne approaches Davidson to tell him that Lorne is upset about the comedian leaving. Thus, the producer won’t be able to star alongside Davidson in one of his music video parodies.

Holding Michaels’ script, Davidson tells Lyonne “That guy has literally done everything for me, so I’m going to pay him back by doing this rap video exactly the way he wrote it”.

With the instantly recognizable music guiding the flow, Davidson gets ready to drop some bars, showing up dressed as Michaels and surrounded by awards as he raps about the producer whose face appears as deep fakes throughout the video.

Davidson speaks about Michaels’ Rolodex and namedrops Joe Biden, Paul McCartney, and Paul Simon. At one point, he raps “So what do you say about a comedy great? Been doing it himself for half a century straight”.

Just as Davidson gets into the groove of being Marshall Mathers, the rapper himself shows up, shouting at Davidson from off-camera. With a poker face, the Real Slim Shady asks Davidson “It’s another parody, it’s like another tribute or something?”, to which the comedian replies, “Yeah, this is like the third one.”

Eminem continues, “Yeah, they all suck. Just please, stop”.

When the 28-year-old ‘King of Staten Island’ actor tries to explain, “Honestly we just do these because we love you so much, it’s like a tribute”, Eminem reacts by saying “Pete, don’t f**king do it again”.

The rapper points a finger at an actor playing Michaels and yells, “You blew it!”

This is not Davidson’s first parody of Eminem. Most recently, the rapper’s ‘Stan’ track was changed into a Santa Claus-inspired rendition, ‘Stu’. Eminem cameoed in that as well.
