The trailer
for the third season of Netflix’s hit British comedy-drama television series Sex
Education
was released yesterday and has garnered over two million views in
less than 17 hours. If the upcoming season is as good as the trailer suggests
then the fans have plenty of reasons to be excited. If your memory needs to be refreshed
then let us remind you that the last season ended on a pretty-big cliffhanger. In
the season two finale Otis left Maeve a voicemail apologizing for his actions and
confessing his love for her but that voicemail was deleted by her new love interest
Isaac. Does it mean the end of Maeve and Otis’s relationship or is there some hope
left?

Moordale
has a new headmistress Ms Haddon and she has the students roaming the halls in uniforms.
It looks like the school is trying to refurbish its image after being labelled
a ‘sex school’ by media outlets. Jean is pregnant, Aimee has discovered
feminism, Adam is back from military school and has decided to make his relationship
with Eric official but all is not well between Otis and Maeve. However, the
most shocking development of all is Otis’s moustache.

There’s
something going on with everyone and the school is engulfed in chaos. If this
does not keep you hooked then I don’t know what will. The makers of the show
have done a commendable job of managing multiple storylines and retaining the
audience’s interest in every single one of them.

All the members
of the cast are returning for season 3 with a major addition being 36-year-old
English-American actress Jemima Kirke. She is well known for her role in Girls
and is going be the new head teacher Hope Haddon at Moordale. Other additions
are Dua Saleh who is making her acting debut, Indra Ove as Anna (Elsie’s foster
mother) and Jason Isaacs as Peter Groff among others.
