Tom Holland is dominating the waves fresh off the success of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘, which has done great fan service showing the webbed hero from different universes, come together for a grand adventure. With a push from Disney for a Best Picture nomination in the Oscars, Holland’s popularity with his audience is beyond doubt. His latest actions are about to endear him to Indian viewers even further.

Speaking to Sahil Shah, the Indian comedian and co-founder of East India Comedy, Holland tried his hand at singing in Hindi. Shah got only three minutes with the star, and he made sure that the moments counted. After all, with great power comes great responsibility, and it fell upon this comedian’s shoulder to get Holland to sing ‘Ispiderman’. For those unacquainted with the catchy tune, the song goes ‘Spider-Man, Spider-Man, tu ne churaya mera dil ka chain’, which in English roughly translates to, ‘Spider-Man, Spider-Man, you have stolen the peace in my heart’.

If Holland hadn’t already managed in causing a flurry in all our hearts, his adorable rendition of the song is sure to succeed in doing so. The amicable star admits at the end of the video that it wasn’t too hard for him to deliver the lines either.

Interestingly, India’s love for Spider-Man goes deeper than the recent film, or this video. There is an alternate version, titled ‘Spider-Man: India’, where the webslinger’s origin story is based in the subcontinent. In the comic, Peter Parker is Pavitr Prabhakar. A village boy, who goes to Mumbai after getting a scholarship, Pavitr finds himself bullied at school for his background but befriends the popular girl Meera Jain. However, when crime lord Nalin Oberoi channels a demon to unleash hell on earth, Pavitr receives a spider’s powers from a sadhu (holy man) to fight evil.
