In 1982, John Roley designed the WE Fest logo in Jeff Krueger’s loft apartment on Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington, Minnesota. The US Fest was Jeff’s proposed name for the festival. Actually, Steve Wozniak’s Festival in California used that logo. Krueger named the festival WE in ’83 Festival, then More in ’84, then Alive in ’85 at Roley’s suggestion. This is how the WE Fest came to fruition.
