Rapper Frank Ocean recently promoted a series of products from his brand Homer via Instagram stories. One of the images is a nude photo used to advertise a cock ring, costing $25k.

The activity has drawn renewed interest to the 34-year-old’s Instagram account, whose user handle is “blonded”.

This is a reference to Ocean’s 2016 album Blonde, which gained critical and commercial success. Thereon, the singer also introduced blonded radio episodes. While Ocean has been on Instagram for some time, his account was initially private and unverified. In 2017, he made it public, and the first post was of Ocean at the Met Gala with Ansel Elgort, the actor.

Over time, Ocean shared images of SZA, Tyler the Creator, and Zoe Kravitz, apart from live performances, cover stories from i-D Magazine and 032c, and an invite to his 30th birthday party. He’d also shared a snapshot of the Boys Don’t Cry billboard, his platinum certification for Blonde, among other things.

While Ocean’s last album was in 2016, the artist is back in the studio, as confirmed on an episode on blonded radio. He said, “Forgive how, like, free associative this might feel. … I was working in Malibu this summer and I would go out, like, pretty late from the studio and there’s, like, a big population of coyotes in Malibu”, adding, “And then when I would go outside I would see, like, all these bunnies running around and it reminded me of video games where you’re, like, a wizard or something. And you’re playing this role in this game and you’re running around and you have these little things to pick up and put in the pouch.”
