The gender and name of Robert De Niro’s 7th child that he had with his girlfriend Tiffany Chen have been revealed. She is a girl and her name is Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro.

He welcomed his latest child at the age of 79 on Thursday, April 6, shocking his fans. The baby girl was born weighing 8 lbs., 6 oz.

On Monday, the Golden Globe winner corrected an ET Canada reporter who said he was a father of six. The Taxi Driver actor said, “just had a baby.” He chose not to reveal the baby’s mother’s name, even though his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen was seen sporting a baby bump just a month back.

The first time that the actor became a father was back in 1971 when he adopted Drena, now 52, his then-wife Diahnne Abbott’s daughter. The former couple are also the parents of son Raphael, 46.

The Taxi Driver star first met Chen, a New York-based martial arts instructor in 2021, when they celebrated his 78th birthday in France. The couple vacationed in Spain the year after they collaborated on The Intern in 2015.

Chen was born in 1959 and is a martial arts instructor. She is the daughter of William CC Chen, a Tai Chi Grandmaster. She earned gold medals from national and international competitions in Tai Chi, Chinese Martial Arts, and Boxing as per Sports Grail.

Chen defeated Aimme Jurewicz to win the gold medal in the World Kuoshu Championship in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

In 2003, she also received a special award for “Best Lei Tai Performance by a Female Athlete,” and Tiffany took home the silver medal at the 8th Wushu World Competition in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 2005.

Chen started dating Hollywood actor Robert De Niro in 2015 during the making of the film The Intern.

The two welcomed their first child together in May 2023. Not much is known about their personal life. The duo are often photographed vacationing together.
