Kareena Kapoor baby 2: Actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor welcomed their second son on Sunday at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The couple already have a four-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan.
Taimur, who was born on December 20, 2016, is quite a hit on social media. While most fans adored how cute he was, some even questioned the origins of his name. Taimur was also the name of the founder of the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia and had invaded India in 1398.
During an interview in December 2020, Kareena Kapoor had referred to the controversy as %u2018ghastly%u2019. %u201CWhat happened about his name was just ghastly. It was disgusting and I’ll never forget it,%u201D Kareena had told journalist Barkha Dutt.
The 40-year-old actor said that it had also deeply scarred her deeply as a person and as a mother. “What I name my child, what I call him, is completely my discretion and of nobody else’s concern,” the actor said.
During her second pregnancy, Kareena was very active on social media and flaunted her baby bump on several occasions.

On Taimur’s fourth birthday, Kareena Kapoor had announced that she would author a book titled “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible”. The book is expected to come out later this year.
