Black Entertainment Television network established the BET Awards in 2001 to recognize African Americans in music, acting, sports, and other forms of entertainment. It will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson for the second year in a row and will air live on BET on Sunday, June 26, at 8 PM from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to music and fashion icon Sean “Diddy” Combs this year.

If you don’t have cable TV the awards show will also be streamed through a number of live TV streaming services, including Philo, Hulu, Sling TV, Fubo TV, and YouTube TV. Free trials and memberships are available.

It begins with BET Awards 22 Red Carpet Live show which will start at 6 PM ET/PT. Terrence J will host the pre-show, which will feature performances by Capella Grey, Fast Life Yungstaz, Juvenile, Pheelz, Saucy Santana, and Victoria Monet. The pre-show will be covered by red carpet correspondent Pretty Vee, DJ Jae Murphy, and more. Affion Crockett will host the BET Awards red carpet Twitter live stream show.
