Humphries got married four times. He claimed to have a deep love for each of his wives and spoke of always “tripping and falling” in love.

Oscar, the eldest son, worked as an editor at The Spectator and as the publisher of the art publication Apollo. He now works as an art curator. Since 2000, he has written for British newspapers and magazines, such as The Sunday Times and Tatler, on a range of topics, including art and design. Rupert Humphries is known for Red Dead Redemption II, Grand Theft Auto V, and Grand Theft Auto IV.

Barry once admitted to being an absent father. He had a very public argument with Oscar, one of his sons, who strongly claimed that he hadn’t received his inheritance and briefly discarded his father’s last name.

Additionally, it was revealed this week that, prior to his passing, he had only just ‘patched things up’ with his daughter Emily, from whom he had been estranged for 20 years.
