Camilla Parker Bowles, now known as the Queen Consort, has two children from her previous marriage to Andrew Parker-Bowles: Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes.

Who are Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes?

Tom Parker Bowles, born on December 18, 1974, is primarily known as a successful food writer. He has authored several cookbooks, served as The Mail on Sunday’s restaurant critic, has been a contributor to Esquire UK, and often appears as a judge on culinary reality shows and in competitions. Interestingly, he has the curious honor of having Prince Charles as both a stepfather and a godfather.

Tom was married to fashion editor Sara Buys in September 2005, and the couple has two children, a daughter named Lola and a son named Freddy. Freddy will serve as a page of honor at the coronation of his grandmother, Queen Camilla. Tom has previously mentioned that his family still spends Christmas together and referred to Prince Charles as his stepfather.

Laura Lopes, born on New Year’s Day in 1978, is Camilla’s youngest child and only daughter. She attended Catholic boarding school and later Oxford Brookes University before launching into a career in the arts. After managing the Space Gallery in London, she co-founded Eleven, a fine art gallery in Belgravia, in 2005.

Laura married Harry Lopes, a former Calvin Klein model-turned-chartered accountant, in 2006, and Princes William and Harry were both in attendance at the wedding. Laura and Harry now have three children: Eliza, who was born in January 2008, and twin boys, Gus and Louis, who were born in December of 2009. Like their cousin Freddy, Gus and Louis will be pages of honor at the coronation of their grandmother, Queen Camilla.

Despite their royal connections, both Tom and Laura keep relatively low profiles. However, they reportedly get along very well with their stepbrothers, Princes William and Harry.

It’s worth noting that while Camilla’s relationship with Prince Charles was initially controversial due to the fact that they both were previously married, they have now been married for over 15 years and seem to have the support of their children and the rest of the royal family. As the monarchy continues to evolve, Camilla’s blended family is just one example of how the royal institution is becoming more modern and inclusive.
