Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan, both 24, were crowned winners of Love Island 2023 on Monday. They beat Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins to the top spot and won £50,000 cash prize.

Harrinanan and Fagan were crowned winners after eight weeks of intense drama, which concluded with users voting to make the final decision.

Both of them could not believe the feat when host Maya Jama announced the results during the live final held in South Africa on Monday.

“I can’t believe it”, Sanam said to Jama, while Fagan couldn’t gather words to express his joy.

Who are Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan?

Kai Fagan is a Science and PE teacher from Manchester, while Sanam Harrinaan is a social worker. They met at the South African villa where this edition of the hit ITV show was being held for the last eight weeks and fell in love.

Speaking to host Jama after the win, Harrinaan said that for her “it was always Kai, like I always said he was my number one”.

“Obviously, he is a very attractive guy but I fell in love with everything. Everything about him, I just, I just loved it. I really didn’t think I was gonna be here,” she added.

Shortly before the win, Harrinaan revealed that she is in love with Kai. Kai, on the other hand, told viewers to keep watching the show to see him make Harrinanan his real-life girlfriend, outside Casa Amor, the Love Island villa in South Africa.

Love Island is a reality TV show where young, attractive singles live together in a villa and compete to find love and win a cash prize, and drama, romance, and controversies ensue.
