Cher isn’t being coy regarding her relationship with Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards.
The 76-year-old pop icon discussed her new relationship with her 36-year-old boyfriend on the Kelly Clarkson Show on Friday.
“On paper, it’s kind of ridiculous,” Cher said. “But in real life, we get along great. He’s fabulous. And I don’t give men qualities that they don’t deserve.”
Cher put forth a range of traits that she would use to characterise the rapper and music executive, with who she was first romantically linked earlier this month after they were seen holding hands.
“He’s very kind, very smart, he’s very talented, and he’s really funny,” she added. “And I think he’s quite handsome.”

Who is Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards?
At Universal Music Group, one of the top three record labels in the business along with Sony Music and Warner Music Group, Edwards is employed as a music executive. Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande are just a few of the musicians on its roster.
Edwards is also a musician and producer who has contributed to rapper Tyga’s indie label Last Kings Records. He is close friends with the hip-hop musician and they are frequently pictured together or out and about in Los Angeles.

In October 2019, Edwards and Amber Rose had a child. Slash Electric Alexander Edwards is a very musical name that the parents made sure to give their child before divorcing in 2021 due to repeated affairs.
“Slash a rockstar,” Edwards wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.
Edwards and Cher had their first encounter at the Paris Fashion Week in September 2022. The Grammy winner posed for photographs with Tyga, AE’s friend, even though they weren’t captured together at the time.

Since then, pictures of the trio having a good time out on the town have been taken. Most recently, Cher and Edwards were photographed holding hands outside Los Angeles hotspot Craig’s and The Nice Guy in early November.
Cher is 76 years old and Edwards is 36, but the Grammy winner is unconcerned about the age gap. In a since-deleted tweet, Cher stated, “LOVE DOESN’T KNOW MATH, IT SEES.”

Cher is known for dating men younger than her – Val Kilmer, Tom Cruise, and Rob Camilletti.
Cher admitted to PEOPLE in 2021, “The truth was if I hadn’t gone out with younger men, I would have never had a date. Younger men weren’t intimidated by older women. But older men in my age category, they weren’t having it.”
