Alexis Adams is the mother of rapper Flo Rida’s 6-year-old son, Zohar Dillard. In March 2023, Zohar fell from the fifth floor of the New Jersey apartment building where he lived with his mother in Jersey City.
The 6-year-old suffered several injuries, including pelvic fractures, left metatarsal fractures, a grade three liver laceration, internal bleeding, and a collapsed lung. Zohar has been in the ICU for almost a month since the accident occurred.
Who is Alexis Adams?
Adams filed a lawsuit in Hudson County Superior Court, blaming the hazardous windows of the apartment building for her son’s fall. The lawsuit named the owners, managers, a construction company, a window installation company, and others as defendants.

Adams sought compensation to pay for her son’s medical treatment. She alleged that the landlord’s negligence in failing to install the correct window guard sizes caused her son to fall to the concrete pavement.
The 6-year-old was born with hydrocephalus, a neurological condition that causes an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within cavities in the brain, and was later diagnosed with autism. Adams has full guardianship over Zohar, and she and Flo Rida do not share custody of their son.
Adams also accused Flo Rida of avoiding paying for Zohar’s tuition and health insurance for years. In 2018, Judge Shira Atzmon increased Flo Rida’s child support payments from $8,000 to $9,000 a month, according to Bossip.

As of December 2022, Adams and Flo Rida were still battling out child support payments.
Zohar remains in an undisclosed intensive care unit, and his mother is devastated by what happened to her son. She stated that as a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare and her heart is broken into a million pieces. Flo Rida has not been involved in the lawsuit.
