Alia Bhatt took to social media to reveal the name of her baby daughter. Alia and Ranbir Kapoor named their first child Raha. Taking to Instagram, the new mom shared a photo of Ranbir and the baby and explained why they chose to keep the name. She also revealed that her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, chose the name.

Who is Alia Bhatt?
Alia Bhatt is a British-Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi films.
Alia Bhatt was born on March 15, 1993, to Indian film director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. Her father is Gujarati, and her mother is Kashmiri Pandit with British German ancestors. She is a British citizen.
Shaheen is her elder sister, and Pooja and Rahul Bhatt are her half-siblings. Her paternal cousins are actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri, and her uncle is producer Mukesh Bhatt.
Alia Bhatt attended Jamnabai Narsee School but dropped out in her 12th year to pursue a career in acting.

She made her acting debut as a child in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh and went on to play her first leading role in Karan Johar’s teen film Student of the Year (2012).
She won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her performance as a kidnapping victim in Highway (2014), and went on to star in several films produced by Johar’s studio Dharma Productions, including the romances 2 States (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), as well as the coming-of-age drama Dear Zindagi.
Alia Bhatt won three Filmfare Awards for Best Actress for her roles as a Bihari migrant in Udta Punjab (2016), an undercover spy in Raazi (2018), and the volatile girlfriend of an aspiring rapper in Gully Boy (2019).
Following two underwhelming films Kalank and Sadak 2, she received praise for her performance as the titular character in Gangubai Kathiawadi and starred in the top-grossing fantasy film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (both 2022).

In addition to acting in films, Alia Bhatt has her own clothing and handbag line and is the founder of the environmental initiative CoExist. She has performed seven of her film songs, including the 2014 single “Samjhawan Unplugged.”
She started dating actor Ranbir Kapoor in 2018, whom she met on the sets of Brahmastra. The two got married in 2022 and had a daughter named Raha.
