The Idol, starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd, is being created by Sam Levinson, the same creator of HBO’s dark teen drama series Euphoria. Although Levinson has worked on projects with content that has been known to push limits, his upcoming drama series has reportedly gone too far.
Fans of the show are reportedly calling The Idol “torture porn” and “a waste of money” on social media.
American actor, director, screenwriter, and producer Levinson is currently married to Ashley Lent Levinson since February 2022.

Who is Sam Levinson’s wife?
Ashley Lent, like her husband, works in the entertainment industry as a television and film producer. She has contributed to many projects throughout the years, including executive producing and co-producing episodes of Euphoria.
According to reports, Levinson and Ashley have a son. But so far, because the pair has the inclination to avoid discussing their personal lives in the media, little is known about him. Thus, it’s still unknown when they had their son and what his name is.
Similarly, not much information is known about how Sam and Ashley met or when they got married.
Ashley is recognized as an executive producer on numerous popular motion films and television programs, including X, Pearl, Irma Vep, The Green Knight, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Those Who Wish Me Dead, Queen & Slim, and Euphoria, among others.
Sam confirmed that he and Ashley had a 3-year-old boy in 2019 to The Hollywood Reporter. He was talking about kids watching Euphoria, which he claimed was appropriate for all ages despite its mature subject matter.

He said, “Something could be extremely overwhelming, and I’m sensitive to it even with my own son. He’s 3 years old, and I don’t like when he’s watching something and there’s a really suspenseful score. I feel like it just soaks into him and it gives him anxiety. But he’s also 3.”
