Michael Mcintyre is an English comedian, author, and television host. He was the top-earning stand-up comedian in the world in 2012. Presently, he hosts The Wheel and his own Saturday night game show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, both on BBC One. He also serves as the host of The Wheel’s American edition on NBC.
Along with stand-up comedy, McIntyre has also performed in three episodes of Live at the Apollo, presented his own comedy show on BBC One called Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, and served as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent in 2011.

Michael McIntyre was born in London to Thomas Cameron McIntyre, also known as Ray Cameron, a Canadian comedian and comedy writer for British television, and his wife Kati. His sister’s name is Lucy. By virtue of his father, McIntyre holds dual citizenship in the UK and Canada.
Michael learned that his father had died of a heart attack when he was seventeen years old; 17 years later, his stepmother Holly disclosed that Ray had killed himself while working in Hollywood. His mother, Kati, is of Jewish heritage from Hungary.
McIntyre made three appearances on Live at the Apollo on BBC One in 2007, 2008, and 2009. He has four DVDs that have collectively sold more than five million copies in the UK: Live and Laughing, Hello Wembley, Showtime, and Happy and Glorious.

McIntyre has appeared on the Royal Variety Performance three times, twice as a performer and once as the youngest-ever host in 2010. On his debut tour of the UK in 2009, which included a record-breaking six nights at Wembley Arena and four at The O2 Arena, he performed for an estimated total of 500,000 spectators.
McIntyre resides in Hampstead, London, with his aromatherapist spouse, Kitty. She is Sophie Ward’s sister and the daughter of actor Simon Ward. Lucas and Oscar are the names of the couple’s two sons.
