American singer Brandy Norwood was hospitalised with seizures in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 11. The singer said in a tweet that she is still in the hospital and taking rest as per the doctor’s orders. 

“I am following doctor’s orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition,” the singer said in the tweet message to her fans, and added, “Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful to you all, see you soon.”

The singer’s hospitalisation was first reported by TMZ, the LA-based news website. They said that paramedics received a call on Tuesday morning in which seizures were reported at the singer’s Los Angeles home. When they reached the spot, they found out that the patient is Brandy.

Who is Brandy Norwood? 

Brandy Norwood is a Grammy-winning American singer and songwriter who was born on February 11, 1979, in McComb, Mississippi. She is the elder sister of American singer and actor Ray J and cousin to rapper Snoop Dogg and WWE wrestler Sasha Banks.

She made he debut in the entertainment industry with the short-lived ABC sitcom Thea. Her first album was called Brandy and was released in September 1994. It became an instant hit peaking at number 20 on the U.S. Billboard 200. 

Since then she has worked in at least 57 TV shows and music videos in various capacities, according to IMDB. Some of her prominent works in TV are Queens (2021-2022), The Game (2014-2015) and One on One (2001-2006).
