Canadian rock n’ roll singer Bryan Adams tested positive for COVID-19 the second time in a month. The test was taken at Milan’s Malpensa Airport in Italy. 

The singer shared the news via an Instagram post that read, “Here I am, just arrived in Milano, and I’ve tested positive for the second time in a month for COVID. So it’s off to the hospital for me, Thanks for all your support.”

Bryan Adams shot the 2022 Pirelli calendar, after the shoot for the 2021 version got canceled due to the unprecedented conditions brought about by the pandemic. An in-person press conference by Adams was being expected to promote the same.

Who is Bryan Adams?

Bryan Adams was born on November 5th, 1959 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Adams has attended Colonel by Secondary School in the Beacon Hill and also Argyle Secondary School in his later years of education. 

Adams brought his first guitar at the age of 12,  and at the age of 15 he became a vocalist for a Canadian glam-rock band known as Sweeney Todd. A year later, he dropped out of high school to pursue a full-time career as a passionate musician. He then worked alongside Sweeney Todd for a few years where he recorded music for their album called “If Wishes Were Horses.” During the same period of time, he met with Jim Vallance, a Canadian musician and producer, who recognized his talent and trained him further. 

Adam released his first self-titled album in 1980, under the guidance of Jim Vallance. The singles released from it include “Give Me Your Love”, “Remember” and “Hidin’ from Love.” In the next year itself, he released his second album named “You want it you got it, ” which reached number 3 on US Album Rock Tracks charts.  His fourth album called “Reckless” was his most successful one and it won him many laurels. 

In 1992, Bryan Adams won a Grammy award as well as the American Music Award for his most popular hit, “Everything I do, I do it for you (1991).”

Other than being a singer, Bryan Adams is also an accomplished photographer, with his works ranging from fashions shoots to advertisements. “Wounded” a photographic collection that he consolidated with journalist Caroline Froggatt, appeared in 2013. 

Apart from his professional career, Bryan Adams is also a social activist, a philanthropist, a humanitarian and an animal rights activist.  He was also named as the  Member of the Order of British and Officer of the Order of Canada .
