Dave Galafassi and his wife, actress Toni Collette, are partying ways after 20 years of marriage. The Australian actress shared a statement on Instagram after photos of her husband kissing another woman surfaced.

“It is with grace and gratitude that we announce we are divorcing,” she wrote. “We’re united in our decision and part with continuing respect and care for each other. Our kids are of paramount importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit a different shape.”

She also shared a photo of a floral arrangement that reads “PEACE & LOVE.”“We’re thankful for the space and love you grant us as we evolve and move through this transition peacefully,” the pair concluded their statement, adding, “Big thanks.”

Collette and Galafassi got married in 2003 and have two children: daughter Sage Florence, 14, and son Arlo Robert, 11.

Who is Dave Galafassi?

Dave Galafassi is an Australian drummer and part of the band Toni Collette & the Finish. He was born and raised in New South Wales, Australia. He took drumming lessons during his teenage years.

Galafassi played in a number of local music groups before joining the Sydney indie band, Gelbison. They released their debut studio album, 1704, and also some singles, in 2003. The band comprised of four members – Pete Farley on bass guitar, Dave Galafassi on drums and the Kahn brothers, Edo and Nadav on vocals, guitar and keyboard.

After leaving the group, he and his wife formed the Toni Collette & the Finish, in 2006. Later Galafassi’s ‘Gelbison’ colleague, Pete Farley joined their group. Their debut album Beautiful Awkward Pictures, was released in October, 2006.

The band taped their first televised show in November, 2006, at the ‘Sydney Opera House’ for ‘Max Sessions.’ This was aired in January 2007, and received one of the highest ratings.

The group ‘Toni Collette & the Finish’ did not release any other album after their first one.
