Her name is Doechii with two ‘I’s. The rapper from Florida will perform at BET Awards 2022 and is label mates with SZA and Kendrick Lamar. 

She burst onto the scene in 2020, introducing herself through the track ‘yucky Bucky fruitcake’. Doechii is one of the new stars of hip hop. With some of her noteworthy singles and Freshmen Freestyle, she always proves that the future of hip hop is bright and innovative. Doechii got a breakthrough in September 2020 with her single “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake”. The single was basically an introduction about her and how she has come up so far. Doechii cites that she is a huge Kanye West fan. She told NME that artists like Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, Tyler, and Outkast are creative, honest. She gets highly inspired by them and has the courage to do what she is doing right now. She also said she’s a “huge Paramore fan”.

It is one of the biggest accolades to be named as a part of XXL’s “Freshman Class”. In 2022 Doechi has also been included in the list. She was also a part of the “Freshman Class” a 90- second freestyle.
