Actor Gary Busey was accused in August, 2022 with sexual assault at a fan convention in New Jersey.
According to Cherry Hill police, Busey, 78, was charged Friday with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact, and one count of harassment.

According to authorities, the allegations arise from violations committed at the annual Monster Mania Convention at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, a Philadelphia suburb, on August 12-14.

William Gary Busey is an actor from the United States. He played Buddy Holly in The Buddy Holly Story (1978), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and a National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Actor.

Early life
Busey was born in Goose Creek, Texas, to homemaker Sadie Virginia (née Arnett) and construction design manager Delmer Lloyd Busey. Busey relocated from Goose Creek to Tulsa when he was in fourth grade, where he later attended Bell Junior High School before graduating from Nathan Hale High School.
Busey attended Coffeyville Community College before enrolling on a football scholarship at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he developed an interest in acting. He switched to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to study theatre after suffering a knee injury. He dropped out of school just one unit shy of graduating.

Family
Judy Helkenberg, Busey’s wife, gave birth to their son, William Jacob “Jake” Busey, in 1971. When Jake was 19, Busey and Helkenberg divorced. Busey has a daughter named Alectra from a relationship with stunt coordinator Tracy Hutchinson, who was born in 1994.
Luke, Busey’s first kid with his fiancée Steffanie Sampson, was born in 2010. Luke joined the cast of Bunk’d in 2022.
