Geeta Basra, also known by her married name, Geeta Basra Singh, is an Indian film actor who was born in the United Kingdom and has starred in Bollywood films. She is married to former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh.
Born to Punjabi-Indian parents, Basra currently lives in Mumbai with her husband and family.

In 2006, she made her acting debut in Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Dil Diya Hai’. Her second film, ‘The Train’, starred Hashmi as well. She played the character of Roma in the film, who was a career woman caught up in an adulterous affair.
In the music video for Sukshinder Shinda and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s song ‘Ghum Sum Ghum Sum,’ the England-born actor played the love interest of the male protagonist played by Rahul Bhat.
Her cricketer husband revealed on Saturday that Basra had given birth to a baby boy. The couple is already parents to a daughter, Hinaya Heer Plaha.

Harbhajan Singh announced the news on Instagram with a post saying, “A new little hand for us to hold, his love is grand, precious as gold. A wonderful gift, so special and sweet. Our hearts are full, our lives complete. We thank the almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy. Both Geeta and the baby are doing well. We are overwhelmed with joy and would like to extend our gratitude to all our well-wishers, for their constant love and support.”
Fans congratulated the pair in the comments section after the cricketer shared the post with the caption, “Blessed with a baby boy #grateful #babyboy shukar aa Tera maalka.”

Basra married the cricketer in Jalandhar, Punjab, on October 29, 2015. Their wedding took place in a traditional gurdwara. Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar also attended the event in addition to the newlyweds’ family members.
The bride and groom outfits were designed by Archana Kocchar for the five-day wedding celebrations. On November 1, the couple had a grandiose reception in Delhi, which was attended by Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra, as well as other sports figures.
