Halle is all set to appear as Ariel in Disney’s upcoming musical The Little Mermaid. Directed by Rob Marshall, the movie is set to hit the theatres on May 26, 2023. In the first teaser trailer released on September 9, Halle is seen singing the iconic Part of Your World. The film is a live-action remake of the 1989 animated film of the same name.

Who is Halle Bailey?
Halle Lynn Bailey was born on March 27, 2000, in Mableton, Georgia, and grew up with her older sister Chloe Bailey before moving to Los Angeles in mid-2012. The pair began writing their own songs and learning how to play instruments by watching YouTube tutorials. At the young ages of 8 and 10, their father Doug Bailey taught them to write songs, thus marking the early beginning of their illustrious career.
Bailey’s dating life has recently become a hot topic after she was photographed with rapper and YouTuber DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) at Usher’s concert in Las Vegas in January this year. According to a video obtained by The Shade Room, she and DDG were sitting close together, enjoying the concert. Bailey even turns to DDG at one point, laughing about something Usher did on stage. After the concert, Usher posted pictures of the pair backstage on his Instagram story, tagging their Instagram handles in the post.

Chloe x Halle made their professional debut with the EP, Sugar Symphony in 2016. The duo’s YouTube cover of Beyonce’s Pretty Hurts caught the attention of the music icon herself. The song catapulted them to overnight fame and changed their lives. Since then, Halle Bailey and her sister Chloe have had the opportunity to perform opening acts for Beyonce’s ‘The Formation World Tour’ and Andra Day’s ‘Cheers to the Fall Tour.’
The Bailey sisters were featured, along with Beyoncé, twin sisters Lisa-Kainde Diaz and Naomi Diaz, Amandla Stenberg and Zendaya in the clip for Freedom in the foremost’s eponymous visual album Beyoncé: Lemonade, which premiered on HBO in April 2016.
As far as her acting career is concerned, Halle appeared in a few films like Last Holiday and Let It Shine.
